Morning routine before you check your phone

Human beings develop habits. We adore them because they satisfy our want for familiarity. It is consistent with evolutionary reasoning to repeat the same behavior in a repeated circumstance. If it worked the last time, it should also work this time. This reduces the requirement for decision-making, and so conserves energy.

Over 50% of our everyday acts are chronic, according to studies. Our everyday routines serve as the foundation for our lives.

The difficulty is that habits are generally very good or quite bad. There is little room for compromise. Additionally, it is sometimes difficult to become aware of harmful habits that have slipped unnoticed into everyday routines since they are created unknowingly over time and drain energy.

Establish a proper morning routine.

These are often appealing because they provide immediate fulfillment but have a detrimental effect on overall energy. Previously, the allure of alcohol or the fast fix of a sugar rush was at the top of the naughty list. However, our connection with digital gadgets, fueled by our obsession with social media, is at the top of the contemporary naughty list. According to some research, 75% of phone users go for their phone upon awakening.

As anybody who has stopped smoking can tell, it is critical to replace – or at the very least displace – negative behavioral habits. The first stage is to increase our awareness of all our behaviors. Which ones are beneficial to us and which ones should be changed? After that, it’s time to engage in some uplifting programming.

And the critical battlefield in the morning. Develop a morning routine that works for you and repeat it until it becomes a habit. According to research, it takes anywhere between 21 and 69 days of repetition until the activities become second nature.

Why do you need a morning routine?

Because how you begin your day is often indicative of how you will end it, it will shape the remainder of your day. And in today’s hectic and confusing world, the time we wake up is often the only time we have to ourselves…

And the reality is that you already have a morning routine in place; the task is to examine and enhance it.

To begin, eradicate the bad. Attempt to avoid checking your phone first thing in the morning. Ideally, charge your phone in a different room and opt for a radio-alarm. Additionally, remove your laptop from the bedroom. Do not begin your day by dwelling on the lives of others.

Then go on to productive action. There are several things you can do. However, the following are some tips that have been confirmed to work:

Consume some water

Human beings are around 70% water. When we awake, we are very dehydrated, and one of the finest habits to form is to drink a pint of water before doing anything else. (If you add a pinch of sea salt to it — a homemade electrolyte sports drink – the body absorbs it more readily.) The advantages are too many to list, so just do it.

Exercise

Fasted exercise (doing anything physical before eating) has a significant effect on calorie expenditure and serves as a wake-up call for the body. Nothing very difficult. A brief and diverse sit-up/press-up exercise. The dog is being walked. Take a swim. The critical point is to engage in any kind of physical activity that raises your heart rate for around 20 minutes.

Develop the ability to inhale deeply

There are a few things more misunderstood than meditation. It is neither an endeavor to entirely cleanse your mind (something you cannot do) nor is it a practice exclusive for Shaolin monks. You can meditate if you can breathe and count to four. Simply settle in, shut your eyes, breathe softly, inhale for four counts and expel for four counts. Repeat.

What is your major event’ for today?

Remind yourself of what you want to accomplish that day. The more focused you are, the more likely you will succeed as the day progresses. Make a note of it to keep it fresh in your memory.

Distribute some positivity

Complimenting only one person every day and expressing what you like in them may have a huge effect on them and you. It does not have to be difficult. It may be as easy as a text message to your spouse or an email to a coworker expressing your appreciation for their performance during a meeting.

You may take charge of the morning and approach the day well prepared to produce remarkable outcomes by altering your routines.
